Pest Man Wins

Pest Man Wins is the 136th short subject starring American slapstick comedy team The Three Stooges. The trio made a total of 190 shorts for Columbia Pictures between 1934 and 1959.

Shemp, with Larrys help, hides their bag of cats in the hostess piano. Larry tries out his ratpoison filled cheese on an unsuspecting Moe. When a mouse accidentally gets into party guestpianist Mr. Philanders Vernon Dent suit jacket, he screams as he jumps up and down. The Stooges join in, thinking hes dancing. The Stooges join in until the mouse escapes, and runs along the floor with Larry chasing it with a hammer. He misses twice while trying to smash the mouse, resulting in hitting a man and a maids feet.One highlight is the piano recital, whereby Johann Strauss IIs Blue Danube Waltz is being played by Mr. Philander. A chorus of cats replies, bewildering the audience and Mr. Philander. Chaos ensues inside suddenly when a mouse enters the piano, agitating the cats. When Mr. Philander opens the top to the piano, four cats fly out. Moe forces Larry to retrieve the rest of the cats only to get stuck inside the piano. They end up destroying it with hilarious results. ........
